Document review
Immigration document evaluation in Houston, Texas
At an immigration document evaluation in Houston, Claudia Perez Vila reads and translates your papers with you in English or Spanish. We discuss the typing of forms already chosen by you or your attorney and provide a price for that work. The evaluation price is confirmed on request. Government fees are separate.
We type, translate and organize the forms and documents you or your attorney have chosen. We do not choose a procedure, determine eligibility or represent you.

I got a letter from USCIS and I do not understand it
We read what you received with you and tell you what it says, in your language.
What we do with you
You received a letter, a notice or a form and do not know what they are asking for. We sit down with you, read it, translate it and tell you, word for word, what the document says. What we do not do is tell you which immigration path to follow: that is legal advice, and for that you need an attorney.
For example
You received an envelope from USCIS with a Form I-797 and do not know whether it is an approval, an appointment or a request for more documents. We read it together and tell you exactly what it is.

USCIS fees are separate
Government filing fees are separate, set by the government, and paid to the agency. Check the current official fees before filing.
03
Who this is for
You have a folder of notices, letters and old applications, and you are not sure what is in it. You want someone who works in both English and Spanish to read it with you and tell you what the papers actually say, before you spend anything.
04
What is included
- An appointment with Claudia Perez Vila in English or Spanish, in Houston or remotely.
- We read your documents and your USCIS notices with you and translate what they say.
- We go over the form you have decided to file and the supporting documents it calls for.
- We tell you which of our typing, translation or notary services you would need, and what each one costs, before you commit to anything.
- We tell you when your situation is legal territory, and refer you to a licensed immigration attorney at ailalawyer.com.
05
What is not included
- Any fee USCIS charges is not included. Government fees are set by the government, and current amounts are published at uscis.gov/forms/filing-fees.
- We do not give legal advice and we do not represent you before USCIS or in any court.
- We do not tell you which immigration benefit to apply for, and we do not choose the procedure or the form for you.
- We do not decide what happens to your case. That decision belongs to USCIS.
06
Documents to bring
- Any immigration documents you already have
- Identification documents
- A list of your questions or concerns
Bring the documents you already have. This is a preparation checklist, not a determination of eligibility or an exhaustive list of filing requirements. Follow the current official instructions for the form you or your attorney selected.

How an evaluation goes
You book the appointment
By phone, on WhatsApp, or through the booking page. You say what you want to go over, so your file is looked at before you arrive.
You bring everything
Every immigration document you already have, even the ones you think do not matter, a photo ID, and your written list of questions.
We read it with you
We translate what each paper says and go over the form you have decided to file, in the language you are comfortable in.
You get the price before you commit
You leave knowing what we would type, what it costs, and what is not included. We do not file anything for you.
08
Questions we get about the evaluation
Is there a fee for the evaluation?
The evaluation price is confirmed when you request an appointment. Call or send a WhatsApp message to ask about the cost before you book.
Are you an attorney?
No. Claudia Perez Vila offers typing and translation services and is not an attorney, and she is not an accredited representative of the Department of Justice. We do not give legal advice, we do not tell you which benefit to apply for, and we do not represent anyone before USCIS or in immigration court. A licensed immigration attorney does all of that, and you can find one at ailalawyer.com.
Can we do this without coming to Houston?
Yes. The evaluation can be held by phone or video call in English or Spanish. Contact us to arrange how to provide your documents. Houston office visits are by appointment.
Other services that often go together
They are close in our catalog, not a recommendation of procedure.
