Form AR-11

Change of address, Form AR-11, typed in Houston, Texas

CPV Multiservices helps you complete the USCIS change of address request with the information you provide. You submit it yourself, from your own USCIS online account, and that is free. Our fee pays for CPV’s assistance, not a government filing fee, and we tell you the amount before we start. Service is available in Houston and remotely, by appointment.

We type, translate and organize the forms and documents you or your attorney have chosen. We do not choose a procedure, determine eligibility or represent you.

USCIS fees are separate

01

I moved

Every time you move, the government asks you to report your new address with Form AR-11. You can do it online for free.

What we do with you

Reporting a change of address to USCIS is free and you can do it yourself online. If you would rather do it together at the office, we fill it out with you for a small fee we tell you beforehand: that is the only charge, it is CPV's and not the government's.

For example

You moved to a new apartment and have an open case. If USCIS mails a letter to the old address, you may lose it. You bring your receipt number and your new address.

USCIS fees are separate

You can submit your USCIS change of address yourself online for free. Our fee is solely the charge for CPV’s clerical assistance; it is not a USCIS filing fee.

Submit your change of address directly to USCIS

03

Who this is for

You moved, you have something pending at USCIS, and you do not want your notices going to the old address. You would rather sit down with someone who has your receipt numbers and your papers in front of them than do it alone.

04

What is included

  • We read your USCIS notices and your receipt numbers with you, in English or in Spanish, and tell you what each one says.
  • We fill in Form AR-11 with your new address and the information you give us.
  • We check the old and new addresses and the receipt numbers you provide with you.
  • You submit the change yourself from your USCIS online account, with us beside you, and we help you save the confirmation.
  • We tell you plainly that this same filing is free if you do it yourself at uscis.gov.

05

What is not included

  • Our fee does not cover separate requests to other agencies or courts. Ask the relevant agency or your attorney about any other notification you need.
  • Submitting. We do not submit the change for you: you submit it from your own USCIS online account.
  • We do not give legal advice and we do not represent you before USCIS or in any court.
  • We do not choose the procedure or the form for you. You, or your attorney, decide what is filed.
  • We do not decide what happens to your case. That decision belongs to USCIS.

06

Documents to bring

  • New address information
  • Current immigration status documents
  • USCIS online account access
  • Receipt numbers for pending applications

Bring the documents you already have. This is a preparation checklist, not a determination of eligibility or an exhaustive list of filing requirements. Follow the current official instructions for the form you or your attorney selected.

How this goes at CPV Multiservices

  1. You bring your papers

Your new address, your identification, your current immigration status documents, and the receipt numbers of anything pending.

  2. We go through them with you

We read and translate what your notices say, then write onto Form AR-11 exactly the information you give us.

  3. We check before you submit

We reread the form with you, confirm the old and new addresses and the receipt numbers, and only then do you submit it.

  4. You leave with a copy

You keep the submitted form and the confirmation, so you can show the change was made.

Questions we get about change of address

Can I file the change of address myself?

Yes. You can use the official USCIS change of address service online for free. Our fee is CPV’s charge for clerical assistance if you choose to use it, and we tell you the amount before we start.

Do I have to come to the Houston office?

No. Contact us for a remote appointment by phone or video call. The Houston office is also available by appointment.

Are you an attorney?

No. Claudia Perez Vila offers typing and translation services and is not an attorney. We type and organize the USCIS forms you or your attorney have chosen, using the information you give us. If your situation calls for legal analysis, we say so and refer you to a licensed immigration attorney through the American Immigration Lawyers Association at ailalawyer.com.
