01

I want to bring my family

The family petition is the first paper the government asks for when a citizen or a resident wants to petition for a relative.

What we do with you

If you are a citizen or a permanent resident and want to petition for a close relative, the form for this process is the I-130. Who can petition for whom depends on each case, and that is for you or your attorney to confirm. We fill out the form with you, read your certificates together and put together the proof that you are family. One petition per relative.

For example

You are a citizen and want to petition for your mother, who lives in Honduras. You bring your birth certificate, your mother's birth certificate and your proof of citizenship. You leave with the I-130 completed, reviewed, and a list of what is still missing.

USCIS fees are separate

Government filing fees are separate, set by the government, and paid to the agency. Check the current official fees before filing.

03

The situation this covers

You or your attorney have already selected Form I-130. You want help reading the instructions, entering your answers and organizing the documents, in English or Spanish.

04

What the fee pays for

  • We complete Form I-130 from the information you provide.
  • We read your birth and marriage certificates with you and tell you what they say.
  • We list the proof of the relationship the instructions call for and mark what you still need.
  • We type one petition per relative, with the total confirmed with you before we start.
  • We check the packet before you sign it, and we explain the notices USCIS mails you afterwards.

05

Outside the fee

  • The USCIS filing fee for each petition. The government sets it and you pay it directly to USCIS; current amounts are published at uscis.gov/forms/filing-fees.
  • Filing. We do not file your application for you: you, or your attorney, file it.
  • What happens after the petition. A case for a relative abroad continues through the National Visa Center and a United States consulate, and that stage is not part of our service.
  • Legal advice. Claudia Perez Vila is not an attorney and is not an accredited representative of the Department of Justice. We cannot tell you which immigration path your family should take, and we do not represent anyone before USCIS or in court.
  • The decision, which belongs to USCIS alone. Nobody here can promise an outcome.

06

Documents to bring

  • Form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative)
  • Proof of the family relationship
  • Birth certificates
  • Marriage certificates
  • Petitioner’s proof of citizenship or residence
  • Financial support documents

Bring the documents you already have. This is a preparation checklist, not a determination of eligibility or an exhaustive list of filing requirements. Follow the current official instructions for the form you or your attorney selected.

What happens at the office

  1. Your chosen petitions

You or your attorney identify the petitions and relatives. We record the information you provide and confirm the typing work.

  2. Documents read together

Certificates, identification, proof of your citizenship or residence. We read each one with you and note what is missing.

  3. Forms completed and priced

Each I-130 is completed from your answers. The total is confirmed with you before anything is typed.

  4. You sign, we hand you the copies

You read each petition before signing it. You leave with a copy of everything you send.

Family petition questions

How much is it for more than one relative?

We give you the fee for the petition, and the amount for each additional family member included, at your appointment. On a family petition, each additional relative counts as an additional service, so the multiple service discount applies. The final price is confirmed with you before anything is typed. USCIS filing fees are separate and paid directly to the government.

Can you help if my relative lives in another country?

Yes. We type Form I-130 whether your relative is already in the United States or living abroad. A case for someone abroad then continues through the National Visa Center and a United States consulate, and that stage is outside our service. What we cannot do is tell you which immigration path your family should take, because that would be legal advice.

Can you guarantee the petition will be approved?

No. Nobody can, and a guaranteed result is one of the clearest signs of immigration fraud. We type the petition accurately from what you provide, with the proof of the relationship the instructions require. The decision belongs to USCIS.
